About us

Recently Faith Community Development Corporation was granted local Registered Community Organization (RCO) status by the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC). The RCO system is designed to improve community notification of proposed development and make community involvement more predictable across the city. As an RCO, FCDC is responsible for convening a community meeting with the individual/s requesting clearance for development of new or existing properties within specific Germantown areas. This process gives the residents a voice and the opportunity to ask questions that relate to the changes and how they will affect their quality of life. The RCO role fits perfectly into Faith Community Developments Corporation’s mission to be a beacon and an advocate for Germantown’s communities. FCDC is one of the fifteen RCOs (Registered Community Organizations ) in Germantown working to improve the lives of its residents.
